The Hanoi - Lao Cai overnight trains have ordinary
Vietnamese Railways with air conditioned 4 Berth Soft Class and 6 Bunk Hard Class Sleepers, plus they have several Deluxe
Sleeping Cars aimed at Tourist as shown in the pictures below.
Now the 22:00 time trains from Hanoi and the 21:15
trains from Lao Cai conveys the "TULICO" 4 Berth and 2 Berth Deluxe Sleepers aimed at the Mid Market Tourist. The 21:30 from
Hanoi and the 20:50 from Lao Cai conveys the "Victoria Express Train" with 4 Berth Deluxe Rooms.
The Sapa has no Railway Station at all running right
now, but about 40km from Lo Cai and easily reached by Tourist Bus in the Amount of ($2.00usd) or by Jeep for ($5.00usd),
or you can hire a motor bike for even less. Hanoi to Lao Cai is about 294km.
